Contributions to Beck for Mayor are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. An individual may contribute up to $6,550 per election cycle, a couple may contribute up to $13,100 per election cycle. Regular PACs may contribute up to $6,550, and PACs that are certified as Mega PACs may contribute up to $13,100. A Mega PAC is a PAC that, due to the large number of contributors to it, is allowed by law to make larger contributions than a regular PAC. PACs and Super PACs must be registered with the Arizona Secretary of State in order to contribute. Contributions from corporations, LLCs, labor unions, and foreign nationals (non-green-card holders) are prohibited. Arizona law requires Beck for Mayor's best efforts to obtain, maintain, and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of all out-of-state contributors and of Arizona residents who contribute more than $100 in an election cycle.
